Wild-harvested

Mineral Seasoning

From cold Maine tides to your kitchen table.

neutral taste.
Quiet Umami.
Everyday Minerals.

What it is

Along the rocky Maine shoreline, brown seaweed grows in the clean, mineral-rich surge of the North Atlantic.
Harvested by hand at low tide, it’s slow-dried and milled into an exceptionally soft powder — so fine it disappears into whatever you cook.
Natural smell. No ocean taste. No added ingredients.
Just the quiet depth of the coast, distilled into a daily seasoning.

Why it Matters

For generations, coastal communities understood the power of sea plants: their minerals, their iodine, their steady nourishment.

Maine Sea Greens brings that tradition into the modern kitchen — in amounts measured by a pinch.

In every tiny 1/8–1/4 teaspoon:

  • Natural iodine that supports the thyroid

  • Fibers that feed a balanced gut

  • Trace minerals for skin, hair, and overall vitality

Small doses. Real impact. A habit that fits into everyday cooking.

How to Use It

Think of it like salt or broth powder — something you reach for without thinking.

It hides in the background, deepening flavor quietly.

Try it in:

  • Soups and stews

  • Eggs, vegetables, and bowls

  • Dressings, sauces, marinades

  • Smoothies and broths

A pinch disappears into the dish, leaving only warmth, richness, and gentle umami.

Its natural sea scent is part of its wild origin, but it vanishes the moment it hits a dish- what stays behind is neutrality: no fishiness, no ocean taste — just gentle umami.

Our Story

Fifty years ago, in Boothbay Harbor, Bob Morse noticed what the sea had always known:

the seaweed washing onto his shore made everything it touched — soil, plants, animals — stronger.

That curiosity became a lifetime of harvesting, learning, and sharing.

His daughter Ava grew up in the tide pools, watching the work, absorbing the knowledge.

As a clinical herbalist, she rebuilt the grinder that turns wild seaweed into a fine, dust-soft powder — fulfilling the idea she imagined in sixth grade: seaweed simple enough for anyone to use.

Today, Maine Sea Greens carries both of their hands, minds, and traditions.

A coastal legacy, shaped by family, made effortless for the modern pantry.
